BAND HISTORY

The band grew out of the ashes of 'Red Dog', changing bass player and drummer (several times - in fact, we've had more drummers than Spinal Tap). The band in it's present form has been together since 1993, with original members Tim and Ern creating music together since 1987.

The original line-up was very blues influenced, but over the years and with the final stability of the line-up, new influences in the choice of music have become apparent. Click for Song List.

Material is now chosen from band members personal favourites, providing it's got less than five chords so that Ernie can remember it, and while the band is predominantly a rock and blues band, numbers now include everything from soul classics like Otis Redding's 'Try a Little Tenderness' and Irma Franklin's 'Take a Little Piece of my Heart' to hard rock standards such as the Who's 'Won't Get Fooled Again' and Led Zeppelin's 'Since I've Been Loving You'.

The band are best known locally for their continuing support of traditional Irish industries, which takes the form of imbibing large amounts of Guinness (apart from Ern, whose body has finally rejected the rock'n'roll lifestyle, forcing him to seek solace in increasingly exotic guitars). Venues played include the usual gamut of local pubs and clubs together with many of the local festivals in the summer months, such as the Newt, Blackdown and Awliscombe beer festivals..
